Known as free-cutting brass, this Copper-Zinc-Lead Alloy is a low-cost, moderate- to low-strength product with excellent machinability. The least expensive of the moderate-strength Copper Alloys, its worldwide production tonnage is the highest of all Copper Alloys. Used in the oil and gas, performance racing, and heavy equipment industries, its applications include screw machine parts, faucet component hardware, bolts, nuts, pneumatic fittings, fluid connectors, valve stems, nozzles, pinions, gears, faucet stems, and faucet seats.
